Douarnenez
Douarnenez is located in the department of Finistère and the Bretagne region. Douarnenez still retains the reputation of a large sardine port, although the vagaries of the sardine, over time, have led to a diversification of fisheries formerly seasonal. The city had a flourishing fishing port until the late 1970s and early 1980s. Fishing activity is now marginal, however many boats still land their fishing. It is also an important marina of Finistère. Its inhabitants are called Douarnenistes.
